OK heres my 2 cents. The Veyron, though I dont know much about it, seems kind of like the space shuttle. Given enough power even a brick could fly. But can it turn? The F1 seems like a street legal formula one car. And the only thing that exceeds Porsches world class monster performance is its world class boring appearance. IMHO Porsches are about as exciting to look at as a door stop. And I dont know Jack Shit about Japanese super cars, so there...

My sources say the GTR is only 2 seconds faster with a time of 7:38, with the Bugatti having to overtake 3 cars...no doubt the price of the Veyron would weigh heavily on the driver's mind too.

Does anyone really care if it bums it in a straight line? The GTR is more godlike than the Veyron when you consider the time the Bugatti must make over the Nissan between dottinger hohe and antoniusbuche (the big bumpy straight bit) and the fast section before Karrusell for the GTR to still be 12 seconds faster demonstrates A, The GTR is awesome or B, The Veyron isnt too good at the important bits. Sorry for ranting i just dont think the veyron deserves to be held in the same regard as the F1.

The new Godzilla is something to envy, but the Veyron bums it in a straight line. Also from my understanding the Nissan is embarrassing just about every car maker at the nube.

It brought nothing new to the super car arena? It defines the term supercar. The veyron while a fantastic car is nothing more than throwing money at a problem. If Gordon Murray and Mclaren had £5.2 million to blow making each car then the F1 would have been even more incredible. Super fast and comfortable is nothing new, porsche have been doing that forever and as for it being god like? Pfft its embarrassed by a Nissan at the Nordschleife.

that'd be a quad turbo. and what's wrong with technological advancement? the american WWII fighter planes sucked, untill they used SuperCharged Rolls Royce engines. :)

Yeah but the F1 is also a road legal car, and what you probably don't realise is that it's NATURALLY ASPIRATED, the veyron has 16 cylinders, a twin turbo and 1000bhp! F1 has 627bhp and no turbos or superchargers and will do 240mph, there's only 3 faster road legal cars that exist and all use turbo or superchargers...

Dude. The F1 is a registered race car. It brought comparatively nothing new to the supercar arena. The Veyron is a day-drivable, luxurious automobile which just so happens to be F*CKING quick and cutting edge in so many ways it's GODLY. The two cannot be compared.

why do people always go on about the veyron? it has way more power that be F1 more hp and was built like yesterday lol the F1 was built in the early 90's and to be will be the best car ever...the F1would leave the veyron for dust round a track with turns...the veyron is only a straight line speed monster....wrong shape to tackle corners..
